Welcome to Black and Blue Fishing Club
The club was created in response to the frustration that two offshore fishermen felt about their sport. Boat ownership costs are increasing, making it very expensive proposition. Additionally, any boat can only be in one place at one time. We all want to use our scarce free time fishing in the best place for that time of the year. The wear and tear and hassle of managing a traveling fishing operation is too much for many of us.
The concept behind the club is that Members become shareholders for an annual period. Members select their days in any of our three destinations. For their selected days, the member can fly to their destination knowing that they will be staying in familiar, first-class accommodations, fishing on beautiful boats, with top notch crews. Members pay an annual fee to secure the use of boats for a selected number of days.
All of this for a fraction of the cost of owing a boat and about 25% off the cost of chartering!
“We want you to feel like it is yours: the boats, the condo, the house. You will build a personal relationship with the crews. Your experience will feel comfortable and predictable. That is our aim as we believe that is what will maximize members’ enjoyment.” – Jason Doyle and Jeff Radke
The Club runs two boats.
The MAKO is a 2009, 56’ Sunny Briggs sport-fisherman located in Bermuda. She has a pair of 1,000 h.p. Cats. As the biggest boat in the Bermuda fleet, you cannot do better than MAKO. Unlike De Mako, MAKO also accepts traditional charter business when not being used by Members.
In the Pacific, the Club runs De Mako, a 57′ Sunny Briggs sport-fisherman. With twin 700 h.p. Luggers, we will get you to the fishing grounds quickly and dependably.
In the case of both boats, with a fully air conditioned and furnished salon and galley, they are suitable for your most important clients or guests.
